The S80 seems to be their answer to the Yonex F1: light.

That's not too comforting. The F1s self destruct too fast.

Victor haven't really done a "superlight" shoe before; they might have got it right. But I also know of cases of F1's disintegrating...

I hope they bring samples of all the new shoes to the All England - I'd love to try them all on and compare them.

Well if it's cheap enough I might splurge on a pair. That orange or lime green is outstanding

And the "safe" black one isn't as tedious as the usual vanilla colourways:).

Has there been any word on a release date for these shoes? I've worn down my shLYD's too much so now I have to find something to replace them.

Just received them an hour ago from taobao (ordered a little more than a month ago and finally shipped 4 days ago). I definitely like the colorway since it's more subtle due to the matte finish instead of the glossy one that I had with 9100.

Initial impression is that the shoe seems very light, a lot of breathable material and fantastic v-durable technology that seems to protect the side and front of the shoe against abrasion.

Nice Badacc, how would you rate this shoe? Is it better than SH-S80?

I am very new to badminton (almost a year), so I had only tried the 9100 prior to this pair of shoes. One of the things I noticed is that this shoe is definitely VERY grippy but less cushioning than 9100. Even though it has less cushions, I feel more comfortable going more aggressive during doubles match due to the v-durable plastic covering throughout the front and side.

    I wouldn't rule out Europe having SH920.

There is another colourway in electric blue which was soooo nice. That said Europe is having to move a little slower as the market for coloured shoes is a lot smaller, albeit growing.
