My brother is unfit and overweight and asked me for advice about getting fit and less fat, so I suggested badminton. To encourage him I told him I remembered seeing an overweight woman player who nevertheless was a champion. This was quite a few years ago. I think she was Indonesian, but I'm not sure. Can anybody give me her name?
we had a related thread not long ago: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...he-quot-Fat-quot-players-in-Badminton-History
I don't get it! You want him to lose weight by badminton, but show him players that are overweight? You'd better show him Lin Dan and tell him: "Hey, that's the way you look when you play badminton..."
Agreed with l_Footwork_l, what is your logic? Unless you show to him the before and after she became a champion (before she is fat and after she is fit). Secondly, why overweight women and not man? Related to this topic, I am interested to know which pro badminton players who are fat or overweight before they are well known and fit after they move up their ranks.
It was just a lighthearted attempt to show him that you can play even if you are overweight. I asked about the overweight woman because I remembered having seen her.
