Hi guys new to the forum so hello. I know everyone as different rackets that suits them. So my final racket will have to be my preference. My problem is i dont know where to start and was hoping you guys can give me names of rackets to look at. I am very much a begineer playing 1-2 times a week. I only play singles. alot of my shots seem to be from the rear of the court very little net play. I think i need a all round racket or maybe something head heavy. I really dont know. This is the reason i am here for suggestions. Like i said i am very much a beginner and leisure player so am not going to be buying a top of the range racket until i know what i am doing. If theres anymore info i can give please say. Thanks in advance Lee
Welcome to the forums Lee! Check this out: http://bestbadmintonracket.com/ I suggest to get a head light or even balance racket, something in the weight of 82-88g. You will then need to work on your technique and improve, before you buy yourself, try friends rackets that might give you an idea which works well for you. There is no concrete answer apart from try a few and then see which one feels right for you. All the best! Now comes the fun part... choosing time... Based on my experience, Yonex ArcSaber 11 & Victor BraveSword 12 r my recommendations. Both rackets r even balanced with slight head-heaviness. Personally feel that AS11 shaft is mid-stiff n BS12 is less stiff than AS11. Due to its head design, BS12 swings faster than most I've tried. Both r great rackets in their own rights.
slight observations and input, my arc11 weight 104g, my bs 12 weights 91g. both are 3u g5. bouth strung with bg66um. arc11 has karakal super pu grip, bs12 has a yonex mesh grip. both original grips removed. just in case you wanted hard specs.
