Hi, i'm shopping for new rackets now to replace the old ones in my bag : here's my problems so far with those i have.

Victor MX-JJX 4U : great for defence but hard to smash with (i know i must not have the perfect technique). But the worst thing for me is that i bought 3 of them, and none have the same feeling as the two others.

Voltric Z-Force I 3U : nice smash and booming sound, but damn it's slow to drive and counter-attack. Not the mention a bit heavy...

So i'm looking for a head heavy, fast racket for good defence and something a bit less stiff than what i already have (but i have when i can feel the head drag).

1. How often do you play, how serious are you?

5 times a week, around 8 hours of play.

2. What style of player are you? (Aggressive smasher, net player ...)

Counter-attack is what i like the most. I play mostly double (plastic shuttle), so it's pretty much always attack or counter-attack :)

3. Do you care much about durability or is it all about performance?

A mix of both i guess.

4. How much money do you want to spend?

Doesn't matter.

Thanks a lot for your ideas guys.

I maybe wrong, but isn't MX-90 basically the same as MX-JJS with a different paint job ?

Nope, it's flexier. And if you get a 3U, it'll be right for your needs.

Concur with visor, they r totally diff beasts. Though their specs r similar, MX90 is flexier due to its slimmer shaft.

visor : thanks for the tip, i'll thrown an eye on that one, i never tough about the MX line beside my JJS !
TeddyC : Thanks for the suggestion, problem is the TK-9000 is quite hard to find where i live, i may have to rely on RKEP but shelling 500$ without testing them is a bit scary.

head heavy and fast??
let's just say, you have 100 points, how much will you divide this points to head heavy (power) and fast defense (speed)? because, you can't have both, as in general, head heavy rackets are slow, and fast rackets do not have enough power
if you put around 50-50 or 60-40, then what you want is a balance racket (not the best in both, but good enough in both area)

the key here might be 4U? as you believe your Z-force slow as hell.
one important question is, do you think you want a Z-force but with a little more speed? if yes, then try Z-force II 4U.
can you handle a stiff shaft? (something stiffer than Z-force and your MX-JJS) if yes, my bet is MX80 old colour, 4U. much more stiffer (the stiffest around), a little bit head heavy, and fast. the problem is, it is really hard to find MX80 old colour right now.

You made me curious. Can you explain why you suggest MX80 OC? What the difference compared to MX80N?

The Yonex VT70 & Victor TK6000 would suit your style pretty well. Both head heavy, medium flex and fast rackets (imho VT70 slightly more flexible than TK6000). Good for smashing :)

Another racket that might suit you, is the Karakal BN60: very fast racket at only 60g dry weight; head heavy and stiff flex.

The BN60 is superfast, however its not enough head-heavy, if compared to Voltrics or LightFighters for example, I would say its more like mid-weigh centred. It still does provide punch good enough for me for solid smash. Also strung and with overgrip, it gets around 77g, stiff flex. Its totally different to VT rackets, ... cant compare to Victor TKs though, not handled those.

...uhm maybe a gues, but the mix of speed and power may have the Z-Speed, but its also a very specific racket, not everybody likes it.

I will suggest TK6000 and MX60 from Victor, I tried before both rackets, both have medium flex shaft with heavy head, both are effortless racket and won't hurt your arm muscles even after you played for 3 hours.

TK6000 BP = 200mm to 305mm
MX60 BP = 295mm to 300mm

Try the Yonex Voltric I-Force. It is very light and head heavy. This racquet is fast at the net, good defense, drives and good smashes even from the back.
