I would just like to share some of the photos I took from a superseries tournament I went to last year. All photos were taken with Canon 5D (the oldest one from 2006) with a 135L lens. I also brought along a 70-300mm with me but that lens was far too slow so I didn't use it at all. This was the first time I've been to such a big tournament and I was so excited to take photos of all these famous players whom I always only read about on the internet. The best moment was running into LYD on the street and I asked him for a selfie....
Great pictures ! Sorry for the necro -but did you get to take a picture/selfie with LYD? He rejected me twice, literally. Once this year and once during the end of 2013...
Yes, you can see the attached photo of my selfie taken with LYD. YYS was also next to him but he looked very annoyed when I asked. LYD spoke to me in Korean but I had no idea what he was saying . I was too excited when I had the photo with him so only got half of my face. I also saw TBH and asked him for a selfie too. TBH was a lot nicer and he was very tall when he stood next to me. I bumped into Ayaka Takahashi and Misaki Matsutomo too. I asked Misaki, in Japanese, for a photo but she replied saying sorry she was busy. I then said ganbatte to her and she replied with arigatou. I felt happy to have spoken to her even though I didn't get a photo.
Photos from the Australian superseries last week. I only had one photo with the players this time and it was with Christinna Pedersen, Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Joachim Fischer Nielsen. Christinna threw her racquet to near where I was sitting after the match but too bad I didn't catch it.
