Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a new racket. I hope you can help me. I'm an advance player. I train twice a week for 2 hours each. Mostly I play doubles and mixed and sometimes singles. I also play tournaments and league competitions. I only want one racket for both dobles and singles. I prefer stiff head heavy rackets. Normally I play with 10kg string tension. I need a racket with good control. Power is not so important. I mostly play clears and drops.

I've looked around a little bit and found Yonex Voltric 50 Neo and Voltric 80 interesting. Can you recommend these?

Best regards,
Peter

Sorry for my bad english. I'm form the Netherlands :D

For head heavy, stiff rackets... VT80 would be an excellent choice. Others I would recommend are VT-ZF2 and Victor TK-9ooo. For fast men double game and defensive play, choose 4u for maneuverability.

If there is any chance, try out these rackets first before making a purchase.

AS-11 is more towards even balance with slight head heaviness.

I also recommend Voltric 80 or TK9000. A ZF is maybe to extreme. IMO a Voltric 80 or TK9000 will fit more persons than a ZFII which is less forgiving and a really beast which is hard to tame. Stiff is a variable word.
A Zspeed is the worst racket which was ever released by Yonex. Because of the feel I wouldn't recommend anybody this racket.

ucantseeme: Luckily i did not buy that nano z speed, so called the fastest racket ever made. I never tried voltric 80 and tk 9000. Some people say these rackets are good. Currently i am more than happy using voltric zf II, 4U very agile for offensive play as well as rallies.

How so? Why such hate to the z speed? I think it's a nice racket to us. Although... that racket gives you false feedback. Like if you miss hit the shuttle, let it be a smash or drive or drop. The feeling is the same. A miss hit or not. It still feels good. But then the shuttle travels matrix speed.

But otherwise nice to us racket hehe

kaisterkai: well, i have heard 2-3 people saying that nano z speed is not as good as expected. I myself have not tried it. But again it comes back to personal preference and playing style. I personally would not buy before trying it since its price tag is not cheap.

Yeah I would agree with that. I got it as a gift. So no loss there. I personally use the z force 1 :) and prefer and am enjoying it ;)

If you enjoyed the nice feel of the classic Victor rackets once you will never look back or will buy a Yonex.
