I dread to think how much Yonex paid for this promo video. Surely they've missed much of their target badminton market here? It's a badminton racket, not a luxurious watch or private jet. I can't help but think this was meant to be released on Apr 1st. I really think it's a poor advert.

I've just watched that, and I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking.

    Literally none.

Maybe they hired Marks and Spencer's marketing team?

What's all this guff about "furthest distance"? It's a badminton racket, not a three-wood!

I'm guessing Rexil Fiber is a lighter material, but isn't as strong. Would explain the low tension rating, and the specification of the racket.

I bet you if this racket clashes with other rackets, it will break easily. The head shape and all that gimmick makes for a fragile racket. This advert made me chuckle, what were they thinking! In UK we have a sports radio station called Talksport and they have a term called 'heads gone', well the marketing department at Yonex definitely have had the heads gone moment.

    Kindest regards,

Honestly... this actually sounds like a good racket for my gf... except I won't pay that much for her to play as infrequently as she does...

but a larger sweet spot would help her, and if it really has so much repulsion for further distance, I will have to retrieve fewer mid court smashes...

I honestly think they are... but badminton isn't a mass market sport... there are a lot of rich Chinese hobbiests out there. But, I think Li-Ning has the national market.

They should have done a video like what they did for the Voltric Z-Force II. Also the highest this thing will go in terms of tension is only 22lbs? That's pretty low. why campaign for a raquet that the pros won't even use.

Like other poster's comments: this is a racquet, not a Rolex or a purse. The promo video's market segment is trying to sell the GlanZ as an up market product. Did Yonex hired the people who does marketing for Harrods??!!?!

I legitimately thought the advertisement was a parody when I first saw it. Yonex marketing has some explaining to do..
