racket hitting the net

    hi.. I'm new to this site n this is my 1st post. I just need to know that if the racket hits the net after a shot is played is it a fault?? Please help me

    If the shuttle is still in play (i.e. nobody else has commited a fault since the serve, and the shuttle has not touched the ground), it is a fault:

    After the first fault, the shuttle is out of play (until the next serve) and everybody is free to touch the net if they wish so.

    The rule just mentions "a player" - apart from the changed court (and a small stipulation about the server's partner), the rules are the same in singles and doubles.

    Yes, if your racket, your clothing, or your body touch the net, it is a fault.

    thank u!! Is it a fault if a part of your shoe just goes from under the net to your opponent's court??

    If you touch the net with your shoe (or any other part of your dress), then it's a fault as above.

    If you just go under the net, it is a fault if you obstruct or distract your opponent:
