racquet with no 'JAPAN' printed in buttcap

    Not necessarily, cheaper low end Yonex rackets are made in Taiwan and China and hence just have the Yonex logo on the buttcap.

    thanks mate, however, the serial in the cone says that it is made in SP, Singapore I guess?

    I haven't read it since I'm still new here. can you give me the link? so what can you say about a yonex racket with no 'JAPAN' in the buttcap? plus with SP in the cone serial?

    The last two letters means where it is distributed. Where the racket is made is normally inscribed on the shaft of the racket itself. Hope this clarifies things for you.

    I'm facing this problem as well. Buying a VT80PG from a seller who claims to have bought it in Taiwan. No JAPAN on the buttcap from his photos. Getting the serials from him at the moment but is the buttcap conclusive proof that it's a counterfeit?

    Vt80 n vt80pg are made in japan. This is printed on the shaft n the butt cap has Japan on it, regardless where it is bought from. Sounds like a fake ro me.
