There is a badminton equipment/supplies store in Hong Kong, a favourite place of coaches and players, that sells racquets, shuttlecocks, stringing machines, grips, bags, shoes, stringing tools, as well as handling the repair of broken racquets, etc. at very reasonable prices. They are located at Rm 1104, Ho King Commercial Centre, 2-16 Fa Yuen Street, Mongkok. The owner is Tom Cheung, who has very close ties with Mr Ng of Luxissport. They handle only the real stuff, not fakes. His email is inskysport@yahoo.com.hk., and his 'phone 81010506. To get a real bargain, I suggest you first check out the best prices elsewhere, and then go to Tom to demand a lower price. As consumers, we can play a role in determining supply/demand, and keep prices at the lowest that the market can bear. Therefore, I am very much in favour of consumers checking out prices with a few stores, bargain, and then buy from the cheapest. This is like arbitrage, but less sophisticated, used in the stock and currency markets.
