The boss of 10 n 10 said it is just the colors.

    I have a APACS Armortech 800, but haven't tried the 700 or 900.

Haha. Probably i am the one who said that? btw, Apacs' Armorpower not Armortec. Armortec is Yonex. i think the 10 n 10 boss just wants u to buy it. I tried Apacs Armorpower800 and Yonex Armortec500. Find a BIG difference between both rackets. how do u guys think?

Yup, huge difference. Yonex Amortech has a more solid feel to its racket while Apacs' feels a wee bit hollow. I have seen Ashaway's & fleet's version of Amortech and have to say Ashaway's look and feel the best amongst the clones.

look and feel is entirely up to the individual...just because its a "clone" it doesnt necessarily mean its inferior or whateva. i for one prefer the so called apacs clones to the yonex series, and yes there are differences in armorpower 500-900. It is definetely not the same.

    cheers

ArmorPower 700 (since it is almost the same, i juz show some pic)

After testing, i found out that 700 is more head heavy than 800.Besides, that only color is different, other is exactly similar.
    I prefer 700 colour.:)

Another thing to note, their powerconcept 1500 is the only 4U racket. It is non-iso head. Hmm...having a headache deciding between the 2.

I actually wanted the proace platinum dream at first, but the shop uncle refuse to bring the price to the price i want. Then he intro me the Powerconcept 1080, which i bought and is enjoying it right now!

What is the high end rcket from Pro-ace anyway?

    I got a titanium11.

Sort of fits that descripition (4 reinforcement points),black shaft, with silver writing, long racket.
Very head heavy, not stiff but not flexible either. Iso head.

    Plays pretty well.

Haha, i think the 10 n 10 boss just want you and any visitor in the shop to buy it

I went there quite a few times and he keep on pestering me with the "Armorpower" promotion.

He told me last week "He, you know now we have this unbelievable offer now .....". Then i interrupt him and say, " i already know . You told me many times already!! :D U got this apacs armortec, very good racket, promotion with bag + string +++.... good as yonex.. etc etc..... Then i say i already got the original yonex one.

Then, he told me "U want to see a very very excellent racket????" and i say ok. Then, he show me a MP100 clone, power concept 998 i think, 4u, light, but astonishingly thick shaft and frames, $109 he said.
Wow, this apacs are churning out billions of models of racket!!
They must be selling rackets like hotcakes. Even armorpower 1000 is out now!!

Can you give me some specs on the thunderbolt?
Platinum dream for $120 ? It is still unaffordable for me, i was trying to bring it down to $100 from him. You think it is possible?

No, Fyi, he did not pester me with the armopower series. He asked whether i am singles or doubles player, when i said i play single more often, he recommend me the Apac PC1080 immediately.
He even discourage me from buying the armopower even when the armorpower cost more!

And my own opinion on apacs, although u may say they are churning out lotsa clones of yonex, i still have to say they make good rackets. (Are u sure 998 is that thick?). From my playing experienced with PC1080, it was very enjoyable, light and good control. It is oval head though.

Has anyone come across the APACS PowerTech 980?

There are a lot of discussions about the ArmorTech Series.

Has anyone come across the PowerTech series from APACS?

I was told that the PowerTech series is actually a clone of the Yonex ArmorTech series. Is that true?

I thought it was just me, but yeah I've tried a few Apacs racquets, 998, Armorpower, etc and they all feel really hollow, and the shafts are thick. Now from an engineering perspective that's how you build a strong, light shaft - maximum width, thin walled as possible, however it feels really, really weird.

Also I wonder what it does for air resistance.
