    Hi,

I'm looking for a club to play in near Kuala Lumpur city centre. I'm there for two weeks from tomorrow and like to play badminton in MY. Any ideas?

    Regards

Just in case you can't find any session in the city center, you could consider the list of session below. We have multiple badminton sessions in multiple location.

You could visit our official HUB Website for more information.

Thanks for replying. How far are some of these places from kl cc? Is it just a short taxi away, I've experienced kl traffic and it's pretty bad!

I'll be likely to make the weekend sessions

    Refer to the Google Map

    KLCC - Forum19, PJ Link

KLCC - Ara Court, PJ Link

KLCC - 1 Shamelin, Cheras Link

Estimated time should include the traffic condition as of now.

I see Ted Sport is not being too informative of local traffic conditions. :)

Those places are nowhere near the KLCC. The difficulty is judging whether the traffic has died down enough to to get to those places.

I think 8 pm is about time the traffic just starts getting lighter. I think any of those places will be at least 30mins from KLCC in good traffic conditions. So depending on any crashes or rainstorm, you may be looking at up to an hour.

Another difficulty lies in getting a taxi back at that late hour. It can be rather random and some of these halls might be off the beaten track. Be careful of personal safety.

Hi Cheung yes I know your concern. That is why I wrote "Estimated time should include the traffic condition as of now." Now it mean now Which is a public holiday in Malaysia. Can really predict the traffic for tomolo and day after. But I think tomolo traffic will still be ok and lots of KLians still enjoying their long break. They might take another day or so.

From the OP's first post, I think he/she will arrive from UK in KL tomorrow (tomolo?). Depending on the flight. Assuming the first day is a washout (some flights only arrive at 5pm), Tuesday game will be unlikely (but not impossible) :)

Ready to hit the traffic jams for Wednesday...:(

    Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I am indeed arriving from UK tomorrow and not likely to be up for badminton until Friday or so. I'll bear in mind the traffic conditions - I've been to kl before so I have first hand experience.

Should I drag my bad racquet from the UK or would ppl be willing to lend me one?

what sort of question is this? LOL.

Treat yourself to a new one from Pertama complex and get it strung there. :D:D This was my modus operandi. I also used to take an older pair of badminton shoes to use and then bin them at the end of the trip.

Don't worry fretted, we have plenty of sessions for you to join. Just choose and pick those that suit your schedule.

About the your badminton equipment, if you're here and actually plan to go shopping for racket or shoes (usually foreigner do that, they say the stuff here is cheaper). Then go ahead and purchase all your baddy equipment here and used it immediately. Take Cheung advise. :p Or else it is advisable to bring along your stuff if you do not schedule to go shopping.

It also depend which brand of racket you prefer. We have abundance of Yonex, Victor, Li Ning here is Malaysia. Very rare Babolat, Oliver, RSL and etc.

Wow, it seems extreme to buy a new racquet just to play a few games of badminton. I think I'll drag my racquets to MY :)

Hopefully see you guys on Friday or saturday
