Very impressive photos indeed. Raphael Sachetat is doing a fine job documenting IBF tournaments, but I think your pictures are better in all aspects. You have a very good eye for "catching the moment", whether it be a posture, situation or just an expression on a player's face. You should consider pursuing sports photography as a career -- but maybe you're already doing this professionally? Good work!
Don't be so sure. The service has already been delivered in the photo, and the racquet is obviously in movement upwards.
Raphael does a very good job if you consider the amount of time he has to take pictures (he spends quite a bit of time writing reports and such). Then he doesn't spend hours sorting and processing them for its galleries. So the situation seems a bit different I thank you for your comments, actually I'm not a professional sports photographer - although this thought crossed my mind - because it is extremely difficult to make a decent living in this field. You have to be a good businessman as well as a good photographer...
i don't think he's hit the shuttle yet - the cork is pointing the wrong way if he's struck it. and doesn't the head need to be below the hand when the shuttle is struck..
Yes it's not easy to tell in a picture like that, as it was taken slightly from below the shuttle (I was sitting on the ground), so it may seem that the shuttle is higher than it really was.
