Worlds lightest racquet

Hi a friend i met recently introduced me to a new brand of racquet that i've bearly
heard of,before i only new they made the worlds best pu super grip but my friend in now i dealer for this company Karakal,there SL-70 is the worlds lightest racquet at the moment.If you would like to take a look at them you can go to www.karakal.com or buy them form my friend at http://www.geocities.com/armani_k/
sl-70 i'd have to say is a very very good racquet at 70 grams you'd think this racquet would break no problem,but thats were i was wrong.This racquet can handle 30lbs stringing tension.The durability is very good and the pwoer and control is wery good,you'd think you would need to put more strebght into this racquet but you do not.I Just thuoght i'd let all of you know about this racquet.There are more form them as well.

I'm living in Singapore and I've emailed to Karakal distibuter in Singapore and Malaysia.

This is the reply I got from Malaysia:

DEAR PHILIP,

DUE TO THE PLAYING STYLE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ASIAN AND WESTERN
THAT THE SL 70 RACKET WEIGHT IS FOUND NOT SUITABLE FOR ASIANS.

WE ARE STILL WORKING ON WITH OUR R & D TEAM FOR NEW RANGE OF
BADMINTON RACKETS TO SUIT THIS MARKET.

Most of you probably haven't heard of a lot of badminton brands.

Who here has heard of:
Black Knight,
Monsoon,
QM Sport, and
Karakal
or even possibly Fleet?

black knight is very common in canada, both rackets and shuttles(plastic and feathers). Played karakal SL70 myself too.

karakal i don't think made badminton racquets before 2000. the sl-70 is a 2001 model so it is new to evey one and karakal in a new company ompaerd to every one else but after spreading te word i thnk it will get around.

Actually I still ve doubts over it since its description was very 'surface' n further more its too light for hard smashings. imagine a shinny guy throwing a medicine ball...v unlikely to throw far...force comprises weight oso, remember?

Up till now, I don't recall seeing any new Karakal badminton rackets designed for the Asian market.

I've seen and used a Fleet before, but not the others until I joined this forum. The racquet's pretty good.

That's really odd. Can somebody explain what this difference is--and why such a light racquet is not suitable? I'm not Asian, but that racquet would be way too light for me.

I would agree that certain weights and balances are better suited to certain styles and individual characteristics, but I never heard of this kind of generalization.

yeah i got the same reply form the ppl at karakal when i e-mailed them about the weight diff in the sl80 i bought.
the sl80 i bought weighs 87/92 and not 85/90 as it should be.
turns out i bought the model meant for the asian market!

c'mon guys, simple, asians have stronger arms and therefore we can swing heavier racquets.

I don't really know this either but most asian badminton ppl in my club all like lighter racquets instead.
