    Do any of you know the format of the thomas/uber cup competition.

    Is it
    1st Single
    1st Double
    2nd Single
    2nd Double
    3rd single?

    or is it

    1st single
    2nd single
    3rd single
    1st double
    2nd double?

    i think CHN vs USA also is the 3 singles 1st then followed by the 2 doubles

    Yup... Today uber ina vs netherland is also like that. Do they change the format this time?

    I think its because they want to give an equal chance to countries that sent 5 or 6 players cos some of the players have to play both the singles and doubles... example:if the first singles player have to play for the first doubles too, they can take some time to rest while the second and third singles matches are going on...I think someone mentioned it earlier...Im not sure..maybe they did change the format....Just a humble opinion... Im sorry if its incorrect...

    Yes, *izzyC* you're right : the standard order is S1,D1,S2,D2,S3 but the order can be changed if one or several players play both singles and doubles, so that they don't have to play two matches in a row.
