weights almost the same, looks close enough i think. and much better support. and more durable too.
its a good alternative. a better shoe, in my opinion...

well i do agree that SHB-99 is a pretty nice shoe...but its the price that annoys me. i mean, in average SHB-99 sells for about $110-120 and thats a little bit too much money to spend on a pair of shoes thats only gonna last me like 2-3 months.
my mom got the SHB-89F for only $90 at Tads, so to me...thats a pretty resonable price. Well maybe after the SHB-89, I'll try the SHB-99 i guess. *sigh*
or I'll just have to try real hard to fine a pair of SHB-98 somewhere.

I just had my HSB99 and played for about 4 to 5 hours. I feel the coushion seems go away quickly. I cannot feel the coushion and back bounce now. I don't know if that is just me. How long does the power coushion suppose to last?

I use Hi Tec Squash shoes, have done for over 10 years, I wear them out at an alarming (every 3 months or so) rate but they only cost 15 pounds sterling.

I tried those shoes out last week in the store and i didn't think they provided enought lateral support for my ankles.. (maybe i have bad footwork) They do look nice though ..So instead i bought a pair of blue Mizuno Wave Spike 9s..

I used to use yonex but they don't seem to fit anymore.
Now I have a pair of white Wlson Torques. An old model I found on the net. They are an OK shoe. The build quality isn't great but they work well and fit great.
Don't buy the Wilson Reaxx! The metal mesh on the side is faulty and will pull out after a couple weeks of play.

I'm currently rotating between between the SHB98 MID and SHB99 LOW, both bought directly from Japan.
My feet feels closer to the ground wearing SHB98 MID. It is also slightly lighter than the SHB99 LOW and even though SHB98 is mid cut and SHB99 is low cut, there really is no difference.

Since i don't really want to spend money on additional gear, would indoor soccer shoes be ok for badminton? I play indoor soccer twice a week, and would like to start playing badminton twice a week as well. Both sports take place in the same gymnasium on campus, they are just scheduled at different times.

some of my friends use these adidas indoor soccer shoes, they say they work fine actually, same gummy rubber sole. but less good for side to side movement they told me, probably because they arn't made for the fast movement of side to side court movement, still good thow
