I wear really old SHB-62s, size 12. My dad bought them for me when I first started playing a few years back, but I wasn't really into the sport then and played for like 3 weeks and stopped. Didn't really pick it back up until a few months ago.
Just retired my old SHB89MX, after 300-400 hrs of "abuse". Using the SHB98MX started from last wkend.
1st impression, 98 is narrower. Therefore, feel little bit tight. Of course, after some break-in, it might be better.
I used to wear YangYang, but I made a hole on the shoe with my pinky toe... I am thinking about buying new Yonex shoes, I still don't know which one to buy... Should I buy Power Cushion 98 or Power Cushion 89F? 89 looks so much cooler than 98 with the kickass yellow color. But I do not think they sell it in America... You guys know when will they become available in U.S.?
I thought you said you are broke Anyway, I am using 89MX, which is very light and nice. So far so good.....has been about 30 hours of play already.
Anybody still wearing the old Dragonfly worn by Yang Yang and the old Chinese team in the 80s? It's only US$3 (RM 12) back then and really popular amongst my badminton trainee classmates for it's lightness. It doubles as school shoes as well. (Good news then, for their dads).
i doubt any players where those dragonfly anymore, they don't really give good support. Yes, they are light from those days but today's shoes are light too but have way better support
Since 98 is narrower, my feet seems getting sweat easier. Guess I have to clean up my shoes more often now. Also, 98 seems lighter, compare to 89mx. My 89MX was the "old" orange color version. Never tried the new yellow ones.
