    Hi all. Looking to let go my mint condition HX800 TWP. Original grip removed and replaced with red GR334 towel and strung with yellow VS850 at 30/31lbs. Selling because I tried to give it a chance but it's just unable to gel with me.

    How? Too stiff or transmits too much shock? Can't possibly be worse than an MX80!

    I don't get it either. It doesn't have a feel as nice as the MX or BS. Feels more like the SWs tbh. It's like everytime I swung it just felt like tugging in the opposite direction.

    So based on the above, your dry specs should be::

    Assume no cellophane wrap when you measured BP:

    Dry BP = 296mm – 9mm = 287mm
    Dry WT = 89 – 3.5 = 85.5g

    Assume with cellophane wrap when you measured BP:

    Dry BP = 296mm – 9mm + 2mm = 289mm
    Dry WT = 89 – 3.5 – 2 = 83.5g


    Sounds like quite a head light/even balanced racquet, so I'm surprised it is giving you problems unless of course the shaft is too stiff or something is causing you to mistime your shots?

    Shaft stiff? I laugh at the MX80 and SW35 though and I'm not mistiming much. Even when I take shots slow during warm up stroking I can feel it pulling weirdly.
