On ebay, there is a seller with karakal PU super DUO grips, they look like two grips stitched together down the middle. The seller says they are brand new in, does anyone know anything about them, or tried them?
to be honest, they look a bit dumb...are they thicker than the normal PU super grip, or just the same but two colours, or twice as wide? i guess you could get a malaysia theme by using the red and white one...but otherwise...just for looks?
I normally buy it in a box of 24 which is about £33 including postage for my club. To be honest, they are like normal karakal grip to me. The design is average i would say.
Bought some new badminton shoes yesterday, and saw these grips for the first time. Bought a couple just for the hell of it.
Same width as a normal Karakal PU Supergrip. They are the same as a standard Karakal PU Supergrip, apart from the colour scheme and the stitching down the middle. Colour combinations I've seen available are: Black/Green Black/Yellow Black/Grey Orange/Blue Orange/White Blue/White
The sticker or grip sticker looks better, not so shiny and doesn't look so cheap.... or is it still the same?
I don't use Karakal grips very often. If you mean the bit to finish off, the small piece of thin tape, then I find them next to useless. I think they used to be a plasticcy tape in the past. Now they seem to be a bit like a metallic foil. The sticky backed towel grips I use are so sticky they don't need a piece of finishing tape to keep them on. For PU type grips, I finish off with electrical insulation tape.
Yea I mean that thin tape which is useless. Never lasts long enough. mmm. Maybe I'll go get some electrical tape. If that's the case, a trip to the store is a must!!
One company makes a half normal grip half towel grip. Is this karakal? It sounds cool - and I would be interested in getting some.
i'm using the Karakal DUO PU grips... when dry, they are very tacky... but once i start playing, they are as slippery as eels (i have very sweaty palms) was quite disappointed (and pissed) cos the forum seems to worship karakal grips

I can't speak for the DUO grips, but the regular ones are never slippery, even when I dip them in water. Try RKEP Nano or King grips, they are on ebay, just search "Racket Expert eBay" on google
Not discounting RKEP, I am using their Super Soft grip, but I do find them short - that with any modest overlap, the grip will not cover the full length of a standard handle. I had to re-grip over and over just so it barely reaches the cone. Double checked the other offerings (King and Ultimate) and both have the same length as the Super Soft Might have to go back to Karakal PU or some other grip, maybe Yonex 102 or something. Justin.
i am surprised that you disappoint with the forum just because many like karakal grip. here, we just share the knowledge or opinions. are you sure is sweaty palm or the sweat was flow from arm? if from arm, use wrist band to absorb it and not let it get to the palm. if all fail, towel grip is your answer and you need to change it regularly.
