    Hi!

I am looking for another racket as a spare. Currently I use Victor MX7000. I have a VT 80 but its 3u so its heavy for me. I play doubles more often and new to choosing rackets so im open to any suggestions.

Im thinking of getting either an offensive racket or a lightweight racket. Budget maybe around SGD $100? Brands wise im not sure whats good.

I appreciate all the help I can get! Thanks!

Cant help much without knowing more info...

How do u like ur current MX-7ooo? Or rather what do u feel lacking?

Head heavy n head light rackets play very differently. If u cant really decide between the two, even balanced racket is a great start.

Also, let us know bout ur playing style.

    Thanks for replying! ^.^

My current mx7000 is light enough for me but I cannot seem to generate enough power for smashes.

I play doubles and most of the time I find myself either doing lobs/drives or trying to smash.

Rarely do I do drops. Perhaps an even balanced racket would do for me? My friend recommended bravesword 12 though.

BS12 is a gd start. It packs enough punch, has a fast frame n fairly easy to adapt.

Another recommendation is JS10. Though to me its lacking a bit of a punch, it is the fastest frame ever tried.

Price wise, both will overshoot ur budget but if u r willing to spend a bit more, there r plenty of bargains in the forum.

For other brands, hope other members can enlighten u.

If you play doubles and do more lobs and rarely drop shots, you should IMO change your game. A good drop shot is often a good preparer for a full smash, instead of an out of balance/bad position smash. Just a side note.

What about a slightly head heavy racket 4U? I think with your budget we can forget any BS12, JS10 or MXJJS/MX70.

I think that the Voltric 7 will fit the bill and will scratch the border with your budget. IMO a good racket. Faster and lighter than your Voltric 80 and stiffer than your MX7000.

Definitely recommend the VT-7. Brilliant racket for the price.

Thanks everyone. Definitely did not think about VT7... I shall go take a look at it.

As for my playing style. I will have to work more on my footwork I guess. Gonna play this Thurs. Will work more on my drops.
