I have to give a presentation next week about Badminton vs Tennis, and of course why badminton is so much better. I've got all the facts, but I'm not much of a public speaker so I want to seal the deal with a quick-ish (1 - 2.5 mins) video that people who don't know badminton will be amazed by. From what I know, people like diving defences in singles. But that's all I know, but I was thinking a MD rally or short video might be better. Any considerations?? tl;dr What's the best short badminton clip ( under 2.5 mins) that people who don't know much about badminton will enjoy. Thanks

Any of the epic Fu/Cai vs Lee/Jung clashes would do. Here's two... https://youtu.be/sckItymjwtU https://youtu.be/EvT55JpUl2Q

I think I must have seen that rally about 100 times, still doesn't get boring. I like the camera angle of bulbasaur's video, but you can't deny that Fu/Cai vs Lee/Jung has some truly epic rallies.
Thanks Amleto as well. LCW vs HKV has to go in. Can't believe I'm forgetting all these rallies!!! I think I'll try and squeeze two videos in my presentation because it's too hard to choose just one .
Where do I start? There are so many good rallies/matches, but if you have to limit it to a short video it should definitely have a little something of: - diving for defense in singles (LCW, LD, ...) - jump smashing + high defense in doubles (LYD/JJS, FHF/CY, ...) - deception (mostly singles) - crazy saves (Vittinghus, Xu Chen, ...) - rallies with extremely high pace to show the speed of the sport - [...] If you are motivated and have enough time, you could create the video yourself.
The thing with deception is that only people who are in to badminton really notice it that much , unless it's really obvious. I'm thinking of one LYD/JJS vs CY/FHF with very fast pace and big smashes and probably that Vittinghus one. I don't really have the time to make my own, although that could be a future project of mine . Thanks for the pointers anyway.
Yeah, I forgot to add that. Deception in doubles is usually too fast and hard to spot by beginners. But in singles it's more obvious, especially if you get a slow-motion of the shot (mostly when it's a winner).
That's a pity. I like deception the most. Seeing the opponent being sent (or doing it yourself) in the wrong direction and turning his head to follow the shot afterwards, is one of the most satisfying/coolest things in badminton.
There was a video compilation of deceptive shots in MS, but it seems to have disappeared from YT. Fortunately I downloaded it.
I've probably seen it to be fair. I think I've seen pretty much all trickshot compilations on youtube haha
