Racquet String snaps....

    I have just strung my racquet.......Yonex ti swing power.....using the new pro ace 65mm repulsion with 22 pound of tension and it suppose can withstand high tension then yonex bg65.......but it just snap on the 1st day i play it.......any idea on how i should prevent this from happening after the next stringing session....????

    Get a better stringer.

    Thats a bit harsh don't you think?

    First of all use a thicker string, 65mm pretty thin. Depending on your level and how hard you hit, 1 day isn't techincally impossible if you hit hard and miss hit a lot. Try using bg65 or 70, and see how that pans out. If it snaps relatively often, then try getting a new stringer.

    Could be various of reasons:

    1. Need a better stringer

    2. String already damaged due to unproper storage (manfacture defect, etc)

    3. Unproper storage of racket - leave it in the bag (without cover) with keys, etc

    4. Hard or mis hits

    5. Damaged gromment(s)
