Does anyone have the two matches Denmark-Indonesia and Den-China on video and is it possible for you to make it into a DVD??

I would like to buy it!!

Does anybody know if a Thomas Cup DVD will be published like in 2002??

    Agree

    I would go with that!

I can recomend Han, his price is cheap and I got the World Championships from him. The disc's got to me quickly as well, and didn't take to long after the competition was aired on TV to convert to DVD.

You might remember that competition Jonas :D

Just cursious, I thought usually a pro team would tape their own matches and other matches also so they can study the matches later.

    Cheshire Cat,

wow! Eva! yes, of course we know of your name. your reports are very professionally written and very tresured here in BF. the TC/UC reports are excellent as they provide great insight to things that regular badminton fans like us don't see. the only complain we can have is that there are not enough of them!

it is quite an honor for you to join BC/BF, i hope we will see you more here! :)

i noticed you only wrote reports in the TC/UC. do you only cover this event or do you cover other ones as well?

how did you choose to cover badminton events? are you a badminton fan yourself?

make sure you wash that JR t-shirt before you wear it. ;)

JR: sorry for hijaaking your thread..

    hello kwun and JR

    hello guys

sorry if i post messages in the wrong thread LOL this is my first time here and I am lost with the whole thing LOL since i have never joined a discussion forum before LOL

anyway....*bows gracefully* thanks kwun! yeah i was assigned to cover the Thomas and Uber Cups event and i am a badminton fan myself. As an indonesian (well actually chinese-indonesian (just like the gorgeous alven yulianto, candra wijaya *dreamy look* ok..back to reality) LOL but forget it..i can't speak chinese LOL) i love badminton although i can't play it well

i am sports journalist at the jakarta post and yes of course i cover other events not only thomas and uber cups. but it was a great experience with TC/UC..i got to know jonas *waves to jonas* and talked to him (instead of watching him on tv LOL) and got his shirt (hey jonas - have you shown the jakarta post newspaper you brought - to your family?)

jonas is a real nice guy and he promised me to teach me danish (HAHA!) as i am going to move to denmark soon cos i will study at DTU next year.
ok this has gone too long just like email (sorry again i don't know how to use the discussion forum LOL) but talk to you later

Just wanted to say welcome and thanks for all the great articles.

Hopefully, when you get to Denmark, you would be able to continue writing about badminton (this time, about Danish badminton) and provide some insights into European's most successful badminton powerhouse. ;)

hey stephen and juliando and also jonas

i reckon i better send replies to you both in this thread.
I'll ask transtv (the broadcast license holder) journalists whether their tv station could provide video for me but right now i am having dayoffs until monday (after 10 days of non stop working from 10am to 3am everyday - for covering the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup event):) so i'll ask them on monday if it's not too long for you to wait :D

PS : to jonas - didn't one of your coach tape the whole game during the final match? cos i saw him sitting at the end of the row with a camera stand. what was his name? i forgot..he's the tall guy with brown hair?

    Hi Eva!!

Yes´I´ve shown the article from the jakarta post to my family and they liked it. Thank you for a great tournament in Jakarta. It was one of the two best badmitnonexperiences I´ve had so far.

    I have a request!

Might it be possible for you to write a bit about this site in the Jakarta Post or somewhere else you can. Maybe with an angle on me so it´s not direct promotion of the site which I guess the paper will not allow??

Is this possible because it´s a great place for badmintonfans and those are many in Indonesia??

    Thank you!!

    Jonas

    hey jonas

    hey jonas

It's really great that you liked playing in jakarta despite all those noisy and wild crowd. So when you're going back to Jakarta again? Sometimes next year?

Well I hope that we can meet again :) probably in Copenhagen instead of in Jakarta. I think I'll still work for The Jakarta Post when I study in Denmark and will still write about badminton :D *fingers crossed*

About your request..I see what I can do :D This site is cool and thanks for telling me about this place :)

    Talk to you later

As for the original subject of this thread, re the DVD - yes there will be one. This is what I was told by someone from the IBF:

"my best guess would be that it will be out in a couple of months. We are planning to stream some highlights footage on the website, though, as kind of a teaser before the DVD launch".

    Grtz,. Mark.

The one from IBF? Not yet. Han's DVD, it has been out at least a month already. I got 14 DVDs all together from Han. Excellent matches and quality.

Why don't you just get from Han? He takes all methods of payment and ships anywhere very quickly!

Oh and his prices are quite cheap.

You might have a long wait with the IBF :(
