I use a medium stiff Voltric 5 and lately I start to clearly feel the flex in it when i play hard shots (especially smashes). This is something that I didn't used to feel so clearly before now. Does this mean that the racket is becoming to soft for me? Is it possible that it became softer due to playing or that I need a stiffer racket to match my improved play? Thanks in advance Belgian
As we know that flexible is for those who need more power with weak arm or wrist As now u can feel the flex of the racket i think u should try a more stiff racket
To the OP, how long have u been using the racket? How often u played per week? Do u rotate it with other rackets? Until u provide answers to above questions, it could b the racket or it could just b u.
Racket shafts get flexier with (a lot of) use over time imho. But as long as your shots are still accurate, you're fine. Actually feeling it bend slightly is good and what you want, because that means you're using the shaft properly by using the shaft's bending/unbending process to store and unleash your energy onto the shuttle.
I've been using it for approximately 2 years (so not so long). I play 3 times a week (for 3 hours each time). Sometimes I use another racket, but I use the same one most of the time (like 90 percent of the time).
In ur case, its most likely caused by usage over time. On the other hand, it could also mean ur technique has improved. The surest thing is to test it out with a new VT5.
