I own a pair of Victor SHW-950D which are very nice for my wide feet. I wanted to get a new pair, but looks like Victor doesn't make these anymore.

Any suggestions for good wide shoes? I'm a size 10 US btw.
I tried the Yonex SHB-02LTD shoes, and didn't like them. Too narrow and they don't seem to grip my foot well :crying:

    Thanks!

Have you had a look at mizuno badminton shoes? I have the wave fang rx and suits me quite well. I've given up on trying to find a yonex shoe that fits me properly since all the ones i could try are really narrow for my feet. I'm a size 10 US too and I use size 28cm(JP) if that helps.

If you can't find their badminton specific shoes, I used a mizuno volleyball court shoe for a good 4 years. just be sure you find one where the heel isn't too high since some of the higher end models have this.

There's Victor A720 wide version too, which you can order from Eric. Which is probably the highest end Victor shoe that specifically comes in a wide version.

Thanks! I'm having a hard time finding a local store that sells the Mizuno, or a store that sells them with a decent return policy in case I don't like it. I'll see if I can find this specific one. Thanks again!

Yonex actually make special "wide" versions of some of their shoes but they may only be available in Japan. I bought a pair in a shop in Tokyo back in 2007.

I'm currently using SHLYD-Q and they are great - so I bought a second pair as spare.

I can't agree. IMO SH 8500 and 910 is much wider. Also the S80 is not narrow. Alot people here said that the S80 is narrow. IMO it fits me very comfortable and snug with wide feet. SHA850 and SHA820 and SHA920 are also wide. Not specially marked but far away from beeing narrow. Only the 9000 and 9100 were IMO a narrow shoe for Victor standard.

Are you referring to A710W or the normal version? I've got the wide version from squash_mart. At least I'm assuming they're two different shoes.

I don't know the wide version. I was just speaking about the A710, which I tried on a few month ago.

I was referring to the wide version in my original post and probably should've added a W to the end of the model number.

Saying that, when I googled A710W, it mostly came up with .tw pages and when I looked at the A710 white/red version on the victor international page, you can see A710W on the shoe. So, I'm not sure if that's a mistake or it's in fact the same shoe... Oh well.

    Hey,

Have you tried the Yonex Lin Dan shoes? I have a SP version of the black one, and it was pretty wide for me. You can try it out.

mizuno has really soft upper so it forms to your feet, asics volleyball shoes also works on badminton courts and it has a wider fitting. yonex sc-4mx has a wider fitting than the other ones as well as their sc-5ex, oh and shb-86ex. li ning hero 2 has one of the widest fitting for badminton, almost as wide as the asics volleyball shoes.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I went and tried a number of shoes at different stores here locally. Finally, came to one store, and they had 2 pairs of the SHW-950D that I have been using for a while. I bought both :) I'm set for a while at least...hehe

I have narrow feet and went through 3 different pairs before settling on the SHB 02 Ltd, finding the others to loose and wide.

    Mizuno Wave rally 4

    Yonex 86 EX

    Yonex SHB 74 EX

I found the 86 EX the widest fitting and my foot moved about far too much.
