Saw the Armortec 800 in Sunrise shop. And also there have a limited 5000 pcs worldwide edition Armortec racquet with serial numeber and certificate. This is supposed to be in celebration of their 40 years of partnership with Sunrise and Yonex Japan, and also achieving a "Superbrand" in Singapore.

The racquet is only printed with "Armortec", anyone got it?
My only complaint is thery should come with a hand carved wooden box instead of a free PVC bag. :D

5,000 pcs is too large a quantity to be classified as a collectible. It would be better if they have a more limited edition, say 500 pcs, tastefully gold plated with 10-20 microns of gold. Just like they issue Leica collectible cameras.

The more limited 500 pcs is a long term investment that will pay in the long run. The 5,000 pcs will not be as collectible as the 500, and it will not appreciate in value as much. That is the key: if everyone can afford it, it makes no sense.

I don't mind using it. Unless if it is designed for display only.

The LE is meant to be used and played. The certificate said "play and enjoy it".

The discounted price is S$400+, Sunrise shop standard. :D

Maybe you should post some pictures of the LE AT800.

We don't seem to have this limited edition in Hong Kong. Is it for sale only in Singapore?

I am not sure too. I should have snapped a picture from my mobile. 5000 pcs is a lot to sell in Singapore. My guess is worldwide sale.

For the benefit of the forumers, I went back to the Sunrise shop and asked permission to take these pictures. The sales ladies obliged. :D

Is HK's Yonex agent Sunrise too?

If not, that is why Hongkong has not such models as this LE is created in partnership with Sunrise, into this commemorative edition.

I hope someone will buy one and comment on its performance.

    It is S$472 nett.

Hopefully you can buy one and comment on its performance. I can help you to buy and send to you.

Unfortunately, I only saw Sunrise sells them in a low profile manner. Other dealers already reeling at the costs of stocking the expensive 700, or 800 models. According to them, it is not easy to sell expensie racquets in Singapore.

AND......Look at the strings in the Cross and Main, they are not the same as the recommended 800 pattern. I counted the store's normal 800, they are strung just like shown in this forum.
