there is a chance that i will be dropping by Vancouver around new year's time. however, i need to convince:

- wife
- mother
- sister

to go, because vancouver is :

- fun
- have good food (probably most persuasive one)
- have great badminton (may not be too convincing for my mom and sister)

is anyone around for new year? will there be any gym open? maybe a new year 12am play till you drop session? that sound like something a badminton fanatic would do...

Now that's the most interesting New Year's party I've ever heard of! Certainly a nice change from the usual, wine & dine, and count down to a dropping disco ball in NYC on TV! Count me in!

Hahaha...the VRC is open year around and probably given that it's New Year, you will probably get a lot of open courts (folks are either drunk or too hung-over to play).

Well, I will make it out for sure (given that I'm now back in Vancouver)

- 4 skiing locations to choose from
- Grouse Grind & other hiking areas during summer as a part of a badder's
torture session (note: you need to complete it within 30 minutes )
- great summer weather
- great place to bike (up Simon Fraser University )
- Richmond is, in a sense, just like Hong Kong Even some Gui Low
knows what dim sum to order and speaks a bit of Cantonese.
- a great place for retiree loaded with money to burn
