Hi BF If you dont know Peter Gade is my badminton coach. Yesterday I was at training and I asked him about the match against Lin and he said: "the first set he was a little nervous because he knew that Denmark would not have a good chance if he lost, he didnt play very well he also said lots of mistakes. 2 set he started to controle the match better and he thought he had won the set when the score was 13-9 but Lin Dan won. Then I asked him about his expectations for the olympics and the only thing he said was I will win.
Sound like Peter is all fired up to win the Olympics eh ? Good news, this Olympic is gonna be intresting !
Yea, I was thinking of that as well. It would be fun for him to come here. Btw, how many days do you train with Gade? Is it part of the "Team Attack" project?
yes Iam in the team attack project, well I have asked Gade about joining, but he is to busy with his own website www.badmintontv.dk so but I can ask him again if you will like. The badmintontv is really only for people who can speak danish.
ask him again! he may not know that it doesn't involve that much time to hang out here in BF. it is all casual chatting with badminton fans.
Well I will ask him next time at training, but there will be a long time before the next session, because he will be having 3 weeks of holiday, and then going on a serious training camp until the olympics.
You mean he isnt doing any training for three weeks!! before the olympics!! http://www.badmintonforum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=15625&highlight=team+attack he said they are taking a group to malaysia to spar with BAM juniors! Looks like you are a lucky boy!!!
wow....... Peter Gade is ur coach??? u r a lucky chap yah i tot LIn Dan is losing the 2nd set when he is trailing.... but he won hehhee i'm very happy for him.......
No I ment he isnt doing any training in 3 weeks after Thomas cup. Oh year that is right how could I forget Malaysian youngsters in MS are very good I played a match against the best from Malaysia I cant remember his name, but we had a good fight he won 15-13 0-15 15-12.
You have already played with them before?? It says on the article you will be going from 5-19 september?
Did you go there, or did they come to you, or was it in a tournament? If you visited them/they visited you was it for training, visiting a foreign country, or other reason. What did you learn from the different styles of play? Did you teach them anything? sorry for all the questions, but am crazy for badminton, especially learning new things!!
I visited them,it was for training, we could learn a lot on the technique from them, and they could learn how to be tactical in a match from us. Just ask all the questions you can think of!!
So what techniques did you learn? And what tactics did they learn? Can you explain some tactics+techiniques to us. This is going slightly off topic though.
Well we taught them the basics of tactics nothing special just the european style like controling the game make your opponent run and stuff. The techniques they taught us the asian style of defense, and that was all they taught us.
And what is the asian style of defense? How do you do it? I think moving your opponent, and taking a control is a world wide style, not only european.
