    A very very brief summary:

    1. About 2 million people play badminton in Taiwan.

    2. Players representing Chinese Taipei has three sources of income: (a) fixed salary by the association/NOC, about NT$ 20,000 per month, (b) corporate salary or allowance [i think similar to the Japanese], and (c) players can keep 100% of prize money won. [Note: there is no mention of commercial sponsorships.]

    3. Players individually negotiating their respective contracts with equipment sponsors, except for Olympics, Asian Games, and East Asian Games.

    4. The Association is located in Taipei, but their players train in Kaohsiung.
