hi im a female player looking for advice in getting a new raquet! Im not an amazing player, only playing at university standard. I play doubles mainly.. and i practise about 2-3 times a week. Currently im using an ancient raquet which has been with me for years.. and now thinking of getting a new one, preferably Yonex one! hmm.. personally i think im an attacker, and im looking for an 'all-round' raquet (if that makes any sense at all).. price doesn't matter too much as it'll probably last for a while Any help will be much appreciated oh and im quite small.. so a lighter raquet might be ideal!! thx everyone!!
So why are you asking us what racquets to buy when you already have something in mind? Buy that racquet or demo it before you buy and see if it works out for you. Only sure way of knowing if the racquet is right for you is playing with it.
Something is for attacker, light in weight, and for female.....hmm...... I would say, MP66, ISO-TIS-SS, MP99, and the new Cab30MS sound fine to me
I say go for the AT800 DE. Very light and suitable for doubles. Slightly stiff and head heavy which is good for attacks. It fits your criteria and game style from your description
My vote goes to cab20ms (3U), a great all around racket. Seems MP66 and MP30 might also worth to take a look.
It's the natural response to a question asked so many times. It's like asking what's the ideal tension FOR HER. This is the type of questions that only the person who asked the question can answer... on her own. We don't even know how she plays, would our suggestions help her narrow down her choices? She might as well ask us what our favorite main racquets are.
The best way to find your perfect racquet mmm. My way of choosing racquets is unique, I'd go with a Yonex, except for my carlton which was a gift. Anyways go to a store and ask the shopkeeper to show you all the yonex racquets he has. Feel the racquet, hold it, swing it. You'll know the racquet is perfect for you when you feel it, regardless of what model it is or what people tell you, you know that the racquet is made for you.
right.. thx everyone! i think i'll check out the MP-99, Cab20/30 or AT-800! i have to say its pretty daunting to head off to a shop and start swinging all those raquets in those tiny shops.. with the shop keeper always persuading me to get the most expensive one!! But thanx for the suggestions! they really do help
borrowed from my friend once when my raquet string broke, just found it really light and powerful.. i guess my current raquet is just too heavy..
You should check my thread "Yonex official Racquet/String Roadmap is available!" in this Equipment forum. It will help you a bit.
MP66 is headlite( as is the MP90 or so I heard)...I play with the 66 and love it. I only play dbls but occassionaly have to put up or shut up so I get drawn into singles games sometimes and the racket performs well if you smash to spots and dont try to overpower your opponet.
Guys, it's been almost 2 yrs since she asked the questions. Maybe time for her to post a review about the racket(s) that she got.
