hey hey. i am a new guy in this forum.so let`s try this out. what you people think is there any good men`s singles players coming up from europe? could you name some of them and tell me, if you can, why they could become world-class players?? HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME!
In England we currently have several successful mens singles players, but the main three are; Under 15: Chris Adcock Under 17: Tom Dunlop Under 19: Rajiv Ouseph
German players Hello here in Germany there's one big hope in men's singles. It's Marc Zwiebler. He's born in 1984 and is four time European junior champion (Team 01+03; MS 03; MX 03)plus two time European junior championsship bronze medallist (MD 01; MX01). Currently he's in the World Rankings at about number 80. He also played for Germany in the recent Thomas Cup finals. Greetings Toastie
yes i saw him at the french open 2003 (he won it =p) he's very talented....but this year hi was swept by the 17th y.o chen jin 15-3 15-5 in the first round
A bit out of topic, but... there're some from Indonesia to. One of them is Icuk Sugiarto's son, named Tomy Sugiarto, he was born in 1988. He's wicked...
How's this guy named Andrew South from England? He was injured a couple years back and now returned to the international circuit. I saw him play at the Canadian Open.. good net shots and powerful smashes... beat the korean juniors.. i think he's going to get stronger.. but i think england's not doing so well 'cuz of the lack of competition... not enough good team membes to practise with
South was billed up to be England's next singles star, but his injuries seem to have hit him just at the age when he would have moved forward in his career. He's still England's 2nd ranked player, and played in the Thomas Cup recently. Still reasonably young though, and provided he stays injury free he should progress to the world's top 30.
He made it to the finals in the Canadian Open 2003, yes. The Korean junior finalist had an ankle sprain near the end of the 1st set, but finally rallied on to beat South. -dave
Europa Don't forget Stampe in u19... He just won against Ouseph last week... And have a look at Yuhan Tan, from Belgium, but, talented one, with all the poor means wa have in Belgium to improve..
In france there's some hope , but i don't think they are talented like this tomy sugiarto LoL or chen jin in spite of they have the same age or they r older than them... there's mathieu lo ying ping, bruno cazau, maxime renault ... for girls there's also barbara matias
Hmm, well these players aren't currently worth much internationally, they still need to prove their value. Mathieu Lo Ying Ping is the most talented but not the most hardworker... Anyway, I don't really think France is the country to look at for upcoming european youngsters!
