Mine is the aluminum racquet I bought 20 years ago for 60 HK dollars. It has been my main racquet, then my spare racquet, then my training racquet, then my daughter's racquet, then my daughter's spare racquet, ..... still going strong, ... hopefully my granddkids' racquet.... Well worth it. :D

If you have to buy the racquet, then my best buy was the Muscle Power 77. Amourtech 700 would be but has problems and i don't have them with the MP 77. But if cost is not a factor, the best deal is my first Black Knight i got about 4 years ago. BK-712 or sumting like that!...got ir for my birthday, but well worth it...until it broke and i was forced to but a mp55 piece of crap!

hmmmm.... i still love my prokennex carbonpro 787 as i've been having it for 15 yrs already and nowaday i'm still using it as my training racquet. i think back then, if not the popular Yonex... most of my teammate use the prokennex as i remember was also a very popular choice. ;)

mmm My old carlton aerogear 18. Came free when I opened a bank account at Public Band, Malaysia. I think the bank went kaput after bank megers during the late '90s recession. The racquet has served me for about 10 years ever since I learnt to play badmiton when I was a wee boy.

Now it doesn't see much action as I'm afraid to lose it in battle ;)

Cab 20 Long, I bought it last year when I was in a search of a king of destruction powers. Although I am still not strong/good enough to fully use this racquet, I still think this is one of the good buys in recent years. Now it becomes rare and people will have a hard time getting this.

The "Best" ? I haven't have anything in my mind yet, but I am sure one day that I will find my true love racquet. :)

    My Yonex BX906 UG3.
Bought for less than S$100. Excellent racket. Solid feel and flex. Much better than my Cab20.
I think it is probably worth more than US$150 now as this particular piece is perhaps one of the very rare few in the world that is still in near mint condition.

My best buy was the two Gosen 3400 that I bought 3 months ago for just HK$600 for the two. I have since made some modifications, including the use of lead tape, and they now play even better than my MP99, AT700 and AT800. I think I have found a way to improve on a very good racquet and to make it a super racquet. :D

Ive done that on one of my very flexible racket by wrapping over the top of the racket and the whippy feel when performing a hard smash is unbelievably good~

My method is more involved and complicated, as it involves removing selected grommets and the injection of shredded lead tape and resin into the inner surrounds of the grommet spots, as well as lead tape on the inner side of the frame at selected spots.
