A “WAR” raged among the sponsors at the Negri Sembilan Chinese Recreational Club (NSCRC) Hall, the venue for badminton.

A day before the start of competitions, huge banners of Ashaway were placed inside the hall.

Yesterday, though, Wilson replaced all the banners. By the end of the day, though, it was all Yonex.

When asked who were the official sponsors for the badminton tournament, the organising chairman, David Wee, said it was Yonex.

“There has been a mix up over the official sponsors for the badminton competitions. But we got the directive from the state government that Yonex were the official sponsors here and the matter has been settled,” he said.

In the Scottish Open the display plackards were changed from the bank ones to "Yonex" throuout the day, they started out with about 3-4 different types of sponsors boards and by the end of the competition they were down to 2.
