If Li Mao's purported appointment as Indonesia's MS coach is realized, then it would be good for SDK and SS whose form has dipped recently. We have seen how Li's techniques and skills have made such a tremendous improvement to the Koreans particularly Park Sung Hwan who this year has beaten the likes of LD,TH and BP. The 2 struggling INA players really need a boost to their badminton career.

What has happened to SDK? If he is still badly unfit or hold fear to his back injury, why did he participate AE and Swiss Open?
Why INA (PBSI) is very slow handling their player injuries? Look at MKY too

Sony participated in these tourneys mainly to get ranking pts (no matter how small they are), which are necessary to prevent him from having to qualify at even the GPG level in the future, given his low ranking now.

Very happy news for Sony and his wife! Congratulations to them.
Baby girl. 3.2 kg and 49 cm -- very healthy stats!
A much better present than an Australian tournament win.

Sony still in the recovery phase after a prolonged back injury. The medical team asked Sony not to play all-out first, with this condition, certainly Sony only perfomed with 60-70% of his best. They hope Sony will quickly recover and back to his best form.

Sony surrendered to injury again and bowed out of Friday’s quarterfinals to third seeded Vietnamese Tien Minh Nguyen.
Sony lost the first game 21-18 and retired 1-5 down in the second after 23 minutes on court.
“I’ve been feeling the pain for the last couple of days. There is no problem when I walk but I feel the pain when I try to stretch or make quick movements on court,” he was quoted as saying on the Badminton World Federation’s official website.
“It is very disappointing as I have suffered lots of injuries since last year. I thought I could make up for past disappointments by doing well here. The draw was kind to me and I was feeling confident entering today’s match despite the pain. I think I could have gone on to the final as I fancied my chances against Bao Chunlai or Lee Hyun Il,” Sony continued.
Despite having to swallow the bitter pill of defeat at numerous tournaments due to nagging injury woes, Sony is hopeful of qualifying for the Olympics.
“I think I can still qualify. I need to work hard and get myself fit for the Singapore and Indonesian Super Series events and try to make an impact at these two tournaments. If I do well in both competitions, I can collect more ranking points to move up the ladder,” the former world number six, who is now ranked 29th, said.

It is indeed sad that SDK's slump continues.
His last win was the 2010 Singapore Open MSF match against BP on 20/6/2010 and he has been faring badly since.
He has even lost in the qualifying draw for the 2011 Indonesian Open to a Taiwanese qualifier.
It is hoped that SDK gets out of his losing streak soon as he is a good ambassador for badminton unlike some haughty players who show little regard for badmnton fans, organizers and sponsors.
