Hiks.. poor Sony. Perhaps he should start from scratch by entering more on IC level first if he still want and his body allow him to come back to this A game. LYB once said that Sony is technically very good. He is still 27, I believe he can still do something.

You are right, he's still young enough that he may possibly recover enough to make the top ten again. But if he can't make a comeback, he would be a very sought-after coach upon retirement. Do you agree?

Sony has chance to be demoted from pelatnas if during Thomas Cup simulation he can't beat the younger pelatnas players.

Sony defeated Lin Dan in SF Thailand GPG straight set by 21-17 21-16!! He is on his way back.
Remember, Sony is INA MS with most SS title (4 SS title, CMIIW).

And probably save Li Mao been questioned again and again

why hasn't there been mprovement in the INA ms.

I suppose this will silence those critics for sometime.

SDK has shown his composure by already won 10 matches consecutively (6 in Thailand GPG 2012 and 4 already in INA SSP 2012). One feature that is rare to be found in INA players. Let's hope he can go far to win 3 remaining matches in INA SSP 2012. He did this streak of winnings on 2008 when he won 10 matches in a row in 2 SS (Japan and China Master).

I've seen a couple of his matches online at the Indonesian Open - in qualification and against Peter and a bit against Taufik. He is definitely showing flashes of his former brillance. He is still strong, he's still accurate and he's still smart. And he's moving pretty well.
But have you noticed how he seems to strain to reach shots at the net. It just looks like he's working hard to get the net shots. Is this a sign that his back ha not gained it's old strength and flexibilty? If so, it is a bad sign for stamina throughout a long season.
Does any longtime Sony watcher have any comment on this?

Sony Dwi Kuncoro lost to Du Pengyu 21-12, 21-15, in the QF match of the Djarum Indonesian Open 2012, as he played one match too many and his body just could not take the physical exertion anymore as could be seen in the long rallies.
He played 6 matches in 5 days in Thailand last week, flew back to Jakarta on Monday 11/6/12 night and had to play the next day to qualify till today 15/6/12, ie 5 matches in 4 days. All in all, Sony played 11 matches in 9 days and that is tough. If Sony did not have to play the qualifying matches, maybe he could have progressed further. Hopefully, his ranking will go up with the good showing in Thailand and Indonesia and that in future tournaments, he does not have to play the qualifying matches.

Despite of straight game, Sony vs DPY game was stretched to 52 minutes.
Still, he is back now. I believe competition in MS top 10 will reinclude him onwards.
