Indeed, it's a good result by Sony Dwi Kuncoro in beating the fourth-seed Du Pengyu yesterday in 3 tight-sets. Today, he will face another Chinese player in Wang Zhengming. I am quite confident that Sony can reach the top 10 sometime next year.

Sony lost to Simon in kejurnas in straight set.

Yesterday Sony struggled to beat Hayom in rubber. Very close match. However Djarum still won yesterday.

The blog was posted by Sony's wife (Gading Safitri Kuncoro).
She was telling about Sony and his ex-coach Li Mao, their relationship, interaction and the improvement of Sony when Li Mao gave him one-on-one personal coaching, interest and instructions.

She described that Sony became sensitive due to his drastic injury. How there was not a single person in PBSI accompanied him, asked him how he was doing. Only when Limao was hired by PBSI along with his "sishe" -- an acupunturist specialized in chinese medicine gave Sony personal coaching, took care of him like a dad to his son, then Sony's spirit was lifted. Sony learned new technique unknown to him for as long as he has became a professional athlete. She finally asked why Limao suddenly resigned from PBSI without even an input from the athletes. She closed the blog by saying we have to lift up the spirit of the athletes, how they can be comfortable in the court so the entire programme (coaching, training) can be executed in maximum order.

The blog was written after 2012 Olympic, when PBSI decides to let go Li Mao, Wong Tat Meng as an aftermath of Olympic failure.

SDK wife wrote that she and Sony were grateful to Li Mao and the acupunturist who lifted Sony spirit during dark days on injury throughout 2011 until he finally managed to win 2012 Thailand Open.

Good post and well written blog. She can write very well.
