Sony's quality of play is good enough to beat Lee Chong Wei tomorrow.
but, he doesnt have the stamina. so, he will lose tomorrow.
although i hope, sony can give a tight game tomorrow

Since long time Sony must struggle from injury, now to be ranked fifth.
Then, he will be facing DLCW in the Malaysia Open SS tomorrow.
    No problem, win or lose.
    Yes, Sony is back!
    IMHO.....

I think Sony is still around 80-85% (my guess only) from his best. But he is on the way. Today maybe he can't answer LCW smashes as he was exhausted by previous 3 tight sets match with Kenichi Tago.
But, he is progressively moving forward!!
His game style as rally player may need improvement of his stamina as he need relatively more energy for each points.
I am waiting for Simon, Hayom, and Tommy to help him tire other players in a tourney. Just kidding

Did anyone pay attention that sony was accompanied by Hery IP in the final?
I think this is the second time i watch indonesian (Top) players not accompanied by their coach. At the final superseries tolyn and rideb also not accompanied by their coach also.
No matter how slim their chance are, players like sony/simon, ahsan/hendra and tolyn deserve to be accompanied with their coach. They are the only indonesia hope, spend some money lah to fly the coach also.
It will be different if the player like febe, no coach accompanied her also no problem : )

Being finalist and lost to MAS living legend in Badminton is nothing to be complained. Keep up your good work, SDK.

Yes, SDK is not in his best, i was wondering would he be able to reach his best again. He needs to improve on his stamina and agility on court those two parts are missing. He played one gear lower than top MS ( LD, LCW, & CL ). I guess we would never lost faith to SDK, he has proven to us that he managed to go through a critical period time where he try to regain his form and coming back from injuries. INA best MS currently are on his way.

Oh sorry my mistake not hery but endra (WD coach)..
But then it make worse, grey/mel with coach but not with newly top paired hendra/ahsan and sony?
Then something wrong with priority sending coach arrangement here i think...

But then maybe joko or hery still busy preparing and stuff....
I just say it is very important that players play accompanied by their coach psycologically and mentally. If sony accompanied by joko, maybe joko can give a better input then endra when sony has no answer at lcw at this important SS Final.

currently, endra mulyajaya is still an assistant coach of MD.
starting to work in WD after MAS Open.
So, practically, in Mas open, he accompanied the MD team.

@fathonezic thanks for your info. I really hope for the best for sony.

Why didn't Sony Dwi Kuncoro have a coach tonight at the HK open against Takuma Ueda? When Takuma Ueda went up 11-6 in the second set, Sony Dwi Kuncoro looked back at the coach's chair and remembered he didn't have a coach. There has to be an Indonesian national coach available to give him advice because the entire Indonesian national team is at the HK Open.

That's sad if the whole Indonsian coaching staff abandoned SDK to go have Hong Kong dim sum. :-(
Maybe they think the veteran doesn't need advice?

Seems like a long time since Sony has even been discussed on BC. Well, SDK, you have at least one Canadian fan. Good luck for the rest of the season!

Depends whether he is playing as an independent player or as part of pbsi. If independent player, then he wouldn't necessarily be able to pay for a coach.

    Seperate organizations.
