Good gracious! They won't be using nylon shuttlecocks for the badminton event, will they?

The rackets in the picture look like those cheap steel rackets one finds at Walmart.

Do they have to really wear skirts with bunny tail when playing badminton?. Its ok if that person is a gay or not. Badminton don't discriminate. But Skirts and Bunny tail?

So the rules are, no discussions on politics, religion on the forum. How do you address "alternate lifestyle"? Badminton is badminton. Attaching controversy to it ... hmmm, difficult to finish.

Do you have to want to play only with people of the same lifestyle?

Sure. No problems with that. The issue here as I read it is: "I'll only play with gays. Anyone interested?"

Is this badminton interest, or alternate-lifestyle interest?

ppl tend to be more comfortable with their own type. we see nerds hangs out with nerds, asians hang out with asians, party girls hangs out with party girls, elderly hangs out with elderly, and now there is gay hanging out with gay... i guess if you look at it from that perspective, it is an ok thing.

"Attaching controversy"? Exactly WHAT is controversial? Gay people playing badminton? If you don't like it, don't comment. Nobody's trying to impose a view or an opinion on anybody here.

If you read again you'll notice the term "gay and gay friendly".

Gay-friendly badminton egroup in North America

Gay-friendly badminton egroup in North America

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gay_badminton/

Gay-friendly Badminton egroup is dedicated to the gay and gay-friendly badminton players (and beyond) in North America (and beyond too). This egroup will help gay and gay-friendly badminton players to exchange information, make friends, find playing partners, etc. It hopes to promote the sport of badminton, develop skills and provide a fun and friendly playing environment.

Did you know that badminton is the second most popular sport in the world, right after soccer? Unfortunately, badminton has not received the attention it deserves in the US, mainly because most Americans believe badminton is only a picnic sport. Well, they are wrong! Badminton shuttlecock can fly at speed over 200 mph, making it THE fastest sports in the world. In fact, badminton players need fast reflex, power, agility, accuracy and high jumping ability to play this competitive sport. It is a pity that the US is a power house in most of the other sports, but not this one.
