Does anyone have any reviews/experience with the Eagnas ST-250 or Easy-1 String Machines? I am looking for a machine below $600. Preferably Badminton only since the dual Tennis/Badminton machines all seem to be manufactured primarily for Tennis. I know Eagnas does not have great reputation, but having trouble finding good badminton only alternatives. Pro's Pro (such as Shuttle Express) seems to have worse reviews than Eagnas. Thanks.
Don't touch Eagnas even with a 10 yard stick, unless you absolutely want to do crap stringjobs and break your rackets. Pro's Pro is probably made by the same OEM, but I think Eagnas just selects the bottom QC crap to resell it. Pro's Pro, while not much better, usually has better customer service with the Pro's Pro resellers. You'll get a low quality machine, but if it comes broken or used, you'll at least be able to do something about it. Get the equivalent models on wdstrings: http://www.wdstrings.co.uk/stringing-machines/?sort=pricedesc&page=1
Thanks for the reply. Do you have a recommendation for Badminton only machines then, besides Eagnas and Pro's Pro?
Alpha makes decent quality machines: http://alphatennis.webstarts.com/machine_pioneerdcplus.html Or if you have the budget, go with Gamma http://www.atssports.com/tennis-equipment.cfm?pc=4&secondary=28
It seems like the machines in referenced links are tennis/badminton combo machines. Does anyone have any suggestions for badminton only machines, besides Eagnas and Pro's Pro? Looking through previous threads, it appears many of the recommended badminton only machines are no longer made, such as Alpha Shuttle Express. Are there decent badminton only machines below the $700 mark?
Eagnas machine nowadays aren't that bad at all. They just need some extra adjustment, after nearly each string job. :-( That's the big problem with cheap machine.
Eagnas, nowadays, back in the days and probably in future days was, is and will be horrible. Why don't you want a machine that can do both ? They work just as well and you'll be able to get more quality machines. Badminton only machines that I know are made by Yonex, Victor, Li-Ning, etc and cost an arm for their cheapest model.
i was in your shoes many years ago, looking for an inexpensive machine to string my rackets. i ended up with a eagnas st-200. machine itself was ok, after a few years the chrome plate on the sliding bar started to peel. i contacted eagnas for warranty but was shown the door. they were absolutely the worst to deal with. i ditched eagnas for good and bit the bullet on a alpha sports machine. alpha used to have shuttle express, which is exactly the same machine as pro's pro and it's made by AEF from china. i eventually upgraded to a revo 4000 with a 2086 tennis head. this is the greatest garage stringer set up. if you don't care about after sale customer service, i guess eagnas can be your cheap option. but personally, i refuse to do business with those who don't stand behind their warranty policies. good luck.
