Hi there, I'm a Dane living in Luxembourg, trying to find a way to buy a decent stringing machine. After extensive study on the internet I still haven't found a site from which I can order and receive a decent model without having to pay more for the shipping than for the machine itself (and the only site that actually responded to my inquiries where klippermate, charging either 200$ for shipping, or $50 and you then never know when you actually get delivery) Does anyone know where I should look ? Places in Belgium/Germany/France would do as well. take care hatecapletters

I was recently looking at www.eagnas.com because of the favourable USD exchange rate, but was put off by the shipping cost (190 USD) and that they wouldn't exchange the tennis clamps that come as standard for badminton clamps.
Hi Neil, yeah, I had at look at them as well. I really got mad at www.badmintonwarehouse.com. You can browse their catalogue, put items in your basket, and THEN select your country (and yes, even little Luxembourg was listed), but on check-out they wrote that they only ship to american residents, and the billing address must be in the U.S. What a cheat Just ordered the Victor M2003, shipping cost only 9 € from germany to Luxembourg ! Noe, thats more like it If you like I'll post here how things went when I receive the machine. take care hatecapletters
for the love of god, DON'T buy it !! Hi Neil, I can't disencourage you strong enough to buy this machine. First they promoted the machine incl. one clamp (and you really need tow) and a replair plyers. The repair plyers wasn't included, I mailed the comido, and 6 weeks later I got a second notice that I had to pay the bill, but o talk about the plyers. I then wrotethem directly, and finally got a 20 € discount, but still no plyers. When I started using the machine it worked ok, but after two complete stringings, the rod with the weight would no longer hold fast, and kept loosing grip, so you lost tension again. I mailed Viktor directly, and found out that they had problems with the entire shipment to comido, because they immediately mailed me back thatI should just send the machine back (15,74 € cost for me) to get a replacement. They where, to be honest, very fast and very friendly, and about one week later I received my machine back. It turned out that they had only repaired my original machine. Again the first two stringigns went well, better than the very first two, but again the problems started. I was trying to string with 10Kg tension, and the rod kept slipping. I'm thoroughly convinced that the concept they use to keep tension, yet letting you add more tension again and again to get it just right, is fundementaly wrong. So two points: 1. Don't buy their drop-weight machine (I can't tell you anything about their tension spring machines, they might be good, but I don't trust taht brand anymore). and 2. If you you're going to buy a Viktor-machine do it directly from them (http://www.victor-sport.de/) or (http://www.victor-shop.com/ only in german) hope this will help you hatecapletters

Does klippermate really charge $200 for delivery?? wow thats more than the machine itself... im actually interested in buying a machine since i'll be stringing my own racquet atleast 10 times a year... but $200?? rehh.... anybody else got any suggestions in where you can buy a klippermate which delivery isn't $200??
stringing machine. eagnas one I ordered was ok. The payment went through my brother in USA. Seems to be a mom and pop shop. Product delivered directly from China. Takes about 6 weeks to arrive. But the drum gave me some problem initially until I remove a spring or metal inside the drum. Not easy to get the exact tension. Goes with experience. Still it is convinient for stringing. Once you get the hang to it. It is ok. Use the spring clamp. Its better. You need to mention to them that it is for badminton. I ordered extra clam just to be safe. I have to say, what Stringway does for tennis, works out quite well for badminton. Take note, you are limited to head to throat direction when you string the cross string in two-piece or one-piece string job. The drop-weight works at any angle so you don't have to align the bar parallel. The clamps are not diamond dusted which means no scratch marks. The clamps are extremely tight. There are five internal supports and three clamp downs.
