UVic / Victoria places to play

Looking for place(s) to play around Victoria or at the university. Going into 1st year next year and want to continue to play as much as possible. Looking for either people or clubs to play at.

There are a number of places to play in Victoria including UVic (has a badminton club). A couple of places uses feathers whereas the rest uses nylons. Check out www.badmintonvictoria.com for a list of places to play. I play at Cordova and Brentwood; Panhandle is all over the place

Uvic club on Sundays is over for the season, they have drop-in play going on still Friday nights. The level isn't as good as most of the players are social. The club could be decent, depending on who shows up.

Best bet is to play at Henderson Recreation which is really close...all year round!!

I personally recomend you training at Cordova Bay rec center, because they have some very strong play, and have both singles and doubles drop-ins with feather birds. Check out www.badmintonvictoria.com for more info.
