I go to a shop as well. But I always go to the same shop and get the same stringer for consistency.

U can try AJ Racket in Bandar Puteri Puchong. Stringing my Pro Ace at 26lbs tension now still OK. (Using 2 Knot type)

They do a very good job on the stringing and my friend swears on them for their stringing and re-gripping work. They carry legit Yonex products (besides other brands like Proace, Wilson, Prince, etc), not like some shops that passed off pirated YY strings/rackets as genuine items. And they are very friendly folks, always honest and more than willing to impart knowledge and information to all!

    P.S. I just had my AT500 restrung with BG-80 (22x24lbs) for only RM26 (that's USD7.04 to you folks... )

P.P.S. I'm in no way affliated to them in any way and form.
yes,i do know them for 6 years and i played with the old man in the same team and same place.even our team mostly doesnt let him string coz his tension drop fast.but i really doesnt agree they do good stringing as i tried before many times.i think u doesnt know the difference between good and bad stringing.if u would like to try mine.i can gurantee it will be better.and one more thing i would like to remind u is that every stringing is based on the quality not the quantity.

My point is that, I can go and say there are few people that can be called national stringer or even world class stringers for being in those kinds of tournaments stringing or have stringed up those players rackets. Does that make any sense? Of course not.

It the quailty and workmanship of the string job regardless.

I always go to a shop.
Though I am looking to try and get trained to string racquets, but there's nowhere near me. I hope the uni badminton club will have a machine, then maybe in a month i could change it to do it myself.
