    Pictures will be useful :)

Without pictures, it will be difficult to give our opininions. Internal damage can be inflicted if outside look ok, my mp77 look ok outside, but after some wacking, the racket yielded under the internal structure damage.

Worrying will not help to prevent the racket from breaking under normal circumstance if it already damaged inside. :) Just enjoy ur games instead of worrying :D

Only way of knowing whether it survive unscathed is to wait until the next high tension stringing job. If it doesn't crack after the string job, it's ok. If you're so worried, lower the tension setting next time.

Maybe the racket will not have a chance to crack.. it might break straight away during the stringing job. :)

The stringer might be able to tell before stringing it..just so that he can avoid getting blamed for the racket breaking.

tend to agree with crazy_smasher, what's the point of worrying? if there is damage, sooner or later it will crumble, if it is ok, then it is ok. there really isn't much you can do about it at this point. just keep playing and enjoy your badminton.

I lost another AT700 last night due to a clash, 2 in 2 months :(

As people have pointed out earlier if it's gone it's gone there is nothing you can do to prevent it but you can have it repaired afterwards.

Central Sports do it for around £30, but the balance will change due to the extra material used to build it up

I am not going to play doubles with you then!

I got a racket repaired by central sports once, but it broke within a few hits afterwards. I never bothered to send it back or anything, I just figured it didnt work, i learnt the lesson and tried to forget about it.

I go by the rule that if you cant afford to replace it, then dont buy it.

Sorry to hear about this tt though hope it does survive. Being a (part time amateur) stringer myself and looking after my peers, i hope you warn your stringer before the next job, and dont blame him if it does break.

try flicking the inflicted area a few times, put it up to your ear and listen for things that jump around...

if things jump around...eeeeek bad...lol hope its still under warranty..

if things sound hollow...better keep the tension on those strings low...

if its a whole sound, its prob just a chip or when you collided the racquet slipped off

That's a good thinking, and I think I should start to think about buying racquets in that way, too :)

Oh, wait, I usually buy in pairs....so ....:p

By the way, I wonder if you can "X-Ray" the racquets? If you can, then you can tell if it's damaged internally. I got this idea from the airport scanning.....since I just came back from a trip.

Telling the truth, the X-ray scanning is not going to do much good. The better option is the computer tomography (CT) what can scan the lateral profiles.

Lol... A MP 100 is about USD$150+, but the CT bill is usually 5 times more. Well, unless someone fake a head injury, and somehow bring in the MP100 with him when taking CT... :D
