Maybe Kwun can make a poll for this: What were the best year of badminton for you? Was it when you were still young and fast? Or did you become a better player at a later age by improving your technique? In case your peak is still ahead, when do you think you will play your best game of badminton? At what age do you think lays your 'peak' performance? 1) <10 2) 10-13 3) 13-16 4) 17-20 5) 21-25 6) 25-30 7) 31-35 8) 36-40 9) 41-49 5) >50
This poll could easily be skewed by the age you took up the sport. For instance I only started when I was 27. Maybe you need a second question, after how many years of play were you at your peak?
Did a little backyard/roadside baddy when I was young. Actual start of proper badminton was at 25. I am hoping 31-35 to be my 'best years' to come... barring serious injury. It will go downhill after that, I think. One can always improve on stamina and technique, but agility won't get any better with time.
My peak performance isn't here yet..that's for sure. As long as I'm still at school and playing badminton..I hope to improve..as slow as progress may be. My theory assumes that I haven't played enough badminton yet to fully develop. And that would probably be true for the rest of my life..since badminton isn't my career. So..such a peak performance doesn't exist..for me. It's probably for the better..that way I have infinite hope
If you start badminton later, your peak will be later but this is part of the poll. I am just interested on where the peak is for many of the BF visitors, regardless the year they started playing. I know many young professional players have their peak around 15 years and then cannot make their breakthrough and silently fade away in anonymity. And (no matter how low the peak is, TheGr8Two) everyone has a peak, I doubt anyone's best play will be on the last day of their life...
You really want to put me off don't you? And today is my b-day too My peak may not be at the last day of my life..unless i force it to be But I'm not there yet...how would i know?
