here are some pics stolen from a Chinese baord. someone managed to visit the Chinese in their closed door facility in Yiyang. they have found this place which has a similar climate as Athens and also a similar sized stadium. they also fixed up the lights and the A/C to be similar as Athens. and as you see, the color of the surroundings are also made similar to the real thing.

yeah. i read that there are different buildings that holds various facilities like the cafeteria and the various halls.

the one shown on the pics must be the 3 match courts you mentioned.

that's a lot of effort putting into the preparation. must be a lot of money behind it and enough to show that they are very very serious with the preparation.

Fixing the lights to be similar to the game settings is a very smart thing to do. For me, I think lighting is an important thing to get used to if you want to play well in the gym..

wow, the Chinese must be very efficient and quick in this preparation. Misbun has just left to Athens to check out the condition on Friday. By the time he returns to Malaysia, the Chinese players are already partially "ready" for the Olympics. Are there any countries doing the same thing as the Chinese team?

That's cool that they're doing the close-door training in my hometown!

I'm not sure if it's just the way the photos were taken but the lights look really bright.

The only people I think I recognize is Zhang Ning and Gao Ling in pic 4???

Kwun, that's a nice stea... er, I mean find! :D

Yes, by the time Misbun Sidek, the Malaysia head coach, returns from Athens, the stadium gets new light bulbs and the floor plan has changed.

As for China, they can now claim to Athens "we can change the light bulbs quicker than you do, just in case"

Now I see what the professional players go through, no wonder they are ... GOOD ! No wonder China wins Thomas Cup, they deserve it !

Koreans have some courts that looked like Athens. But they have a regular trainning session. Not really closed door session.

For Msians , just normal trainning as usual. currently we dont have so much investments to make a court look like Athens compare to the chinese.

One thing I noticed about the pics is that, they are using TONS of shuttles. Normally, it's just about 5~7 dozens of shuttles in the trainnings I have seen in different gyms, however, they brought in the BIG CASE, and that's probably in at least 50 dozens of shuttles.....and I bet those are shuttles similar to Yonex AS-50 since they want to match everything to the olympics. ( I don't know what's the official shuttle(s) for olympics)

I wish one day I could do that.....that must be nice, really really nice thing to do when training.
