Hi everybody, I checked many forums about fake rackets, but I could not find the info I need Yesterday I saw a ti-10 from a new friend who said that he had the racket for more than four years wthout using it. I took a look of the racket wth my real Ti-10. Everything was exactly the same except no serial number and the date number on the cone was punched to the cone. The queston I have is about the early version of Ti-10 whether they have serial numbers or not (when TI-10 first came out). I know that the very old Yonex rackets (older than 8 or 10 years) do not have serial numbers, the old rackets only have the punched numbers on the cones. Thank you!
If it's an very old racket, I think it's very possible the serial # is more like "punched" into the cone. So far, all the faked rackets I've seen are either without any serial number, or more like "painted on".
how old can it be? i've had an old yonex carbonex 20 original, old gold yonex logo, with cuts in the YY's and it had an engraved serial number.
Should be real if it looks exactly the same as the real Ti-10. My Ti-8 is also about 4 yrs old, the no. are only on the cone with paint over the indented numbers.
I don't think it has to do anything with being very old or recent, as my UG4 Carbonex 20 Original and my Carbonex 22 SP with the new logo both have punched in serial numbers.
