this is a long shot but is there anyone here live or had came from korea? I would like to get a feel of the badminton scene in korea, their tv coverage, clubs, shops, badminton equipment selection and its prices.

Actually, it's kind of strange that we haven't had any posts from anyone in Korea. Wonder why?

Hi Brett and Cooler... from what I read off the web, badminton doesn't exactly seem popular in Korea as well, despite their continuous production of world classed players.

Correct me if I got any info wrong.

Adel, you're rarely wrong, or else i go after your limbs :)
Ya, bit of surprise to me too. Korean players look talented and fit from what i see of photos and tapes. If badminton is not big there, what is?

BTW, brett and adel, thanks for adding your view to this thread, it sat lonely for a long time :)

If my memory hasn't failed me, baseball is a pretty big thing there. Do you know how they got more spectators for the Korean Open, btw? Apparently, a lucky draw form was given along with every ticket and the grand prize was a car. Some Singapore journalist suggested that the the same thing be done here to draw the crowds.

No problem. You just owe us one when we post a new thread and it goes unanswered for a few days. :)
