These are 2 very nice articles about camilla martin. The first is actually her olympic bio on NBC which has a nice overall insight on her career.
The second is really good. It gives a view of her career and struggles against the chinese dominance. Her comments show a side of camilla that well, we don't see on the court. The effect of her breakup with peter and her 1 month temporary retirement due to losing to the chinese was interesting and quite unexpected.

Good find. It's just only Camilla herself. They have bios for a number of the players including Gade, WCH, Mia, KDM and of course, Kevin Han and Howard Bach.

There is also an interesting article on badminton in Denmark

"Lin's ascendance has virtually pushed reigning singles world champion Xia Xuanze, the Olympic bronze medalist in Sydney, off the squad."

Does this mean Xia isnt playing for the olympics? why not? and is the pair of Candra and Halim still playing together for the olympics also?

A country can't have more than 3 players/pairs in an event. From the rankings as of May 1st (final date for qualification), Xia was ranked 7th in MS but the 4th from China... so he's not qualified for the Olympics.

actually, the rule is that if a country has more than 3 (ie. 4 or more) in the top 16, then they have the option to select any 3 players among them regardless of rankings. and that's the reason why the Chinese coaches are having a big headache now as they have 5 players in the top 16. Chen Yu is most likely not playing, but Lin/Bao/Chen/Xia are all very strong contenders but the cruel fact in life is that only 3 can go.

I didn't know that one. Well, we agree that there are only 3 playing! :p

What a headache as a coach... I would love to have that choice to do!

yeah. the pain of being too strong! i would not want to be the Chinese coaches who need to decide.
