is there any place around vancouver where i can get a lesson from a decent coach and that its not very expensive?

I found these clubs but they cost a fortune to get in.

I know of a female coach who's certified and is probably one of the stronger female players out there. Good coach, player and person.

Some of the BF'ers have played against her and she is well known in the badminton community.

    PM me for more info.

Hey, can you guys PM me as well? I'm looking for a private coach. I'm contacting Hollyburn Country Club right now, but I'm not a member, so I don't know how they'll respond.

The other ones I know about are at VRC. I'm thinking that's the only place I've got, but I'd have to drive out there from the North Shore.

If you can, best that you stick with Hollyburn due to the commuting issue. They got a new coach who's an ex-Korean pro, you should be so lucky to get coaching from her:D!

VRC might be cheaper and has more good calibre players you can mingle with. However, of all their coaching staff... one of them is not really good. The good ones you might have trouble communicating with. PM me for more details if you're looking into VRC coaching.

Well, how many coaches are there at VRC? I doubt if the two from China are considered to be not good. The Head Coach has been there a long time and there's a fourth one, isn't there?

Anyone watched Windstruck yet?...aka my sassy girl 2, I thought the movie wasn't as good or interesting as my sassy girl, but the ending was definitely very surprising. I also thought the guy in this one couldn't match Ji Jeon Hyun's performance. A lack of chemistry perhaps?..what do you guys think?

Can't believe I planked down CAN$11 for that ****:(. It's too drawned out and really lame:(. As much as I love JJH, I can't believe that they really disrespect Sassy Girl with that ending.

Back to topic: Wanna found the name? Join the club and find out for yourself;)!

if there are more than the 2 assistant coaches, then the head coach would be in breach of his contract. the 3rd assistant was a quiet insertion, but would already be in conflict with the original contract. this matter was never raised in the past.

however, if there are other members who are performing coaching functions, we would be looking at this matter very seriously.

I don't think Bryan and Aki are actively 'coaching' at the VRC. If so, they would be in breach of their membership agreement plus Mr. Head Coach would never stand for that after all he is very protective of his turf!

Of course not, they may take in students but that doesn't mean that they actually coach at the club. I don't mind taking lessons from Aki though, however concentrating while she's coaching might be an issue for me:eek:.
