    Dear all!
I am a girl from Germany and will be working in Shanghai for a few weeks and would like to play some badminton after work / on weekends. I am lower intermediate level (I play in a team and tournaments, lower class).
So now I am looking for a place to play and also places where I can stock up on rackets and clothing. The previous posts gave some links but they did not mention locations and were in Chinese  ...
If anybody has some information, I'd love to hear from you!

    Feedback

    Hi,
I just wanted to come back to you and tell you that I ended up going to the Shanghai International Badminton Club.
Everybody is very welcoming and they even have trainers around to help you at all times, which they really do. I think I even improved in the few times I've been there.
A little Chinese would be good, because the coaches don't speak much English, but it's really much fun and the level of the players is quite high.
    Cheers

Lunara, good to hear that you managed to get in touch with some of the badminton folks in Shanghai.

Sounds like fun and also beneficial with coaches being available.

Post pics if you are able to and keep us updated.

    Enjoy :)

    Hi Lunara,

You're on an assignment many would KILL to have.
Try keeping a diary of sorts when you're on the court and let us know anything which could be interesting - as well as all those deep and dark secrets...
    Enjoy yourself. :)
